My Octopus Teacher (2020) follows filmmaker Craig Foster. Burned out and struggling he begins free-diving in a South African kelp forest. He forms a deep, year-long bond with a wild female octopus who teaches him about vulnerability, connection and nature. The film won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
